England defeated Australia in a high-scoring thriller in Perth in the first Twenty20 International. While Nathan Ellis starred with the ball for Australia, taking 3 for 20 in his spell, the hosts clearly missed their star bowlers.

It was always going to be a high-scoring game between the two teams on a batting-friendly surface. However, Hazlewood and Cummins would have made a difference to England’s total.

Starc, Hazlewood, Cummins, Maxwell, and Zampa will now join the Australians in the second and third T20Is. With all of these players back in the lineup, we can expect the hosts to bowl much better. With Matthew Wade coming in at number 7 and consistently delivering, he will be a key batter to keep an eye on, especially in run chases.
