Things couldn’t have gone better for the England Women after being put in the field by the Irish. After a solid start with the bat by Ireland, England managed to claw their way back and bowl out the Irish Women for 105. Sophie Ecclestone and Sarah Glenn were outstanding, each taking three wickets.

With a score of 106 to chase, it appeared to be a simple task for the England Women’s team. And so it proved, as they chased down the target in 14.2 overs while losing 6 wickets. Alice Capsey crushed the Irish with a stunning 51 off 22 balls.

The India Women’s team had high expectations going into this tournament, and their performances thus far have raised them even higher. With two wins in two games, India will be hoping to remain unbeaten and win the ICC T20 World Cup for the first time.

After losing the toss, the Indian bowlers made an outstanding start, taking the first wicket in the second over alone. Following an impressive platform set up by the West Indian batsmen, the Indian bowlers fought back admirably, limiting the West Indies to 118 runs. Deepti Sharma was outstanding, taking three wickets for 15 runs.

The batting department made quick work of the target, completing it in 18.1 overs. The Indian would be very pleased with this performance, which included a good opening partnership and a fantastic end to the innings lower down the order. Richa Ghosh once again wowed with a 44-ball performance.
