In the first Test of the series, Team India defeated Bangladesh by an innings and 188 runs at Chattogram. With only one more Test remaining, the visitors would be hoping to finish their tour on a high note and earn some World Test Championship points. Bangladesh showed some fight in the second innings, but they were far below par in every department.
The 2nd Test between Bangladesh vs India will take place on December 22nd, 2022 at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka.

Bangladesh vs India
Bangladesh (Match Odds – 5.50):
Preview:
Bangladesh was expected to put up a strong fight against India in the Test series at home, but they fell short, save for some second-inning resistance. After restricting India to 48-3 in the first innings, they allowed them to score 404. They were then bowled out for just 150 in their first innings, leaving them with a mammoth target of 513 to chase in the second. Bangladesh fought hard, thanks to opener Zakir Hasan’s century on debut and late-order heroics by captain Shakib Al Hasan (84), but they fell well short at 324.
Litton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim’s failures in both innings are cause for concern, and the two experienced batters will be hoping for a better performance in the second Test.
The only bright spot for the hosts was off-spinner Taijul Islam, who picked up 4-133 in the first innings and was consistent with his lines. If they are to put pressure on the Indian batting unit, fast bowlers Khaled Ahmed and Ebadot Hossain will need to be much more consistent with their lines. Taskin Ahmed, who missed the first Test, is expected to play in the next one. His return will strengthen the bowling unit, as he is the team’s primary fast-bowling weapon.

India (Match Odds – 1.15):
Preview:
India had a near-perfect Test in which they checked almost every box. Cheteshwar Pujara scored 90 and 102*, respectively, while opener Shubman Gill hit his maiden Test century. Shreyas Iyer hit a fine 86 in the first innings, and Ravichandran Ashwin once again proved his worth with the bat with a gutsy 58 down the order. His 92-run eighth-wicket stand with Kuldeep Yadav (40) completely changed the game in India’s favour.
India’s bowling was clinical, led by Kuldeep Yadav, who made an excellent return to the Test team by picking up 8 wickets. The chinaman bowler’s 5-40 in the first innings broke Bangladesh’s back. Axar Patel also stood out, taking 4-73 in the second innings after the wicket had eased considerably. Mohammed Siraj, the fast bowler, bowled with a lot of heart, and his spell of 3-20 in the first innings was one of the highlights of the game.
Following his finger injury, Rohit Sharma may be able to return for the second Test. If that happens, the team will most likely drop Gill to make room for the captain. Jaydev Unadkat, a left-arm seamer, is also likely to be given a chance in place of Umesh Yadav.
Full Squad:
KL Rahul(c), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant(w), Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Jaydev Unadkat, Saurabh Kumar, Srikar Bharat, Abhimanyu Easwaran

Bangladesh vs India Pitch Report
Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka is a high-scoring venue. The average first-inning score in this city is 341. However, the average fourth innings score on this wicket is only 180, indicating how difficult it may be for the team that bats last on this wicket. The team that bats first should aim to score around 450 runs.

The pitch at Shere Bangla National Stadium is usually good for batting for the first three days before crumbling a little. Batters will benefit from the hardness in the first two days, but spinners should benefit as well. The role of spinners will be especially important during the final two days, when there will be plenty of turn available.
The weather in Dhaka will be sunny and pleasant for the entire five-day Test.
Bangladesh vs India Prediction
Bangladesh’s best bet is to restrict India to less than 250 runs in their first innings. They’d need something special from their bowlers for that. India still has some issues with their middle order, but they have enough batters in form to get them through. Furthermore, their bowling unit runs like a well-oiled machine, covering all bases. A win here would also help them climb the WTC standings. Expect the visitors to dominate once more, but the hosts to put up a more formidable challenge. Check out the odds at Cricbaba!
India is the favourite to beat Bangladesh at the odds of 1.15.
Bangladesh vs India Most Recommended Player for Bet:
Kuldeep Yadav was India’s best bowler in the 1st Test against Bangladesh, taking eight wickets. We recommend backing him as the highest wicket taker in the 2nd Test against Bangladesh as well.
